We release modern but timeless music and aim at promoting projects that
are the fruits of reflexion as well as spontaneity, from singular,
activist and versatile artists, thus putting forward the honesty and
the integrity of what they imagine.
We refuse any willingness to pigeon-hole the music that we
release. Just any style could be released by us. It has already been
the case in the past ( electro pop, indie pop, indie rock, more
or less anti-folk songwriting, expermimental guitar works, etc...) and
shall be even more varied in the past. Greed Recordings uses a variety
of media that are linked to our fast moving era and has always claimed
independent and free ethics. That is why the majority of our records
and art works are released under Creative Commons License.
Too much abuse has been going on in the music business in
the past and it is likely to be getting even worse in the future.
Considering music as a disposable means of entertainment and thus
forgetting the pertinence of what a personal work of art is, the
interaction of words, pictures, be they still or moving images, and
sounds, be they concrete or composed, improvised or thought beforehand,
recorded alone or with others, between introspection and
broad-mindedness.
