A music essentially based on repetition, the use of electric guitars that are out of tune or alternatively tuned and coupled with an eternal delay / loop, allows combinations and the interweaving of infinite sources; the specificity of the trilogy of the « Pièces pour guitare préparée » being that it incorporates the hazardous factor that is linked to improvisation.
In this third and last volume, the melodies created by the interweaving of complementary patterns are more aerial and less dark than ever before. A record for Spring, this volume opens with gasping acoustic guitar motifs (« Do it like Steve does… »). The usual aerial parts find an echo here with two improvised themes that are developed in a gentle way (« Echosystem ! », « Myself and nobody else »), the latter being nothing but a very early version of what was to become the song “Necessary alibis”, but here complete with odd human beatbox et all...
This volume closes with three rather hypnotic pieces, composed of soundscapes which succeed in blending impressions of well-being and disquiet, comprising crazy guitar slaughtering and an obsessive spoken-word monologue with universal social content: « We must have some money to save us from eating dirt ! »
